Wyatt’s attitude of life:
Wyatt has never been limited. He has always been told he can be anything he wants to be (as long as he’s safe). When he started wrestling in high school he had coaches and a team that gave him the same message. He proved he can do anything by winning the City Championship. Wyatt will continue to be and do anything he wants to accomplish and be successful throughout his life.
On another note, not only has Wyatt been recognized for his accomplishments in wrestling, he also is a member of Southwest High School’s Three Strings guitar group. They were selected out of hundreds of applicants to perform at the 2019 National Association of Music Educators Convention in Orlando, Florida. The group was on several news channels for this honor and changed the minds of thousands of music educators nationwide with their performance. (Their stories are worth a google search!) Wyatt also figure skates and is on the Southwest golf team as well as Special Olympics.
A Special Message from mom:
I guess I would say don’t ever let anyone put a label or definition on your child. I always believed Wyatt could accomplish anything if he believed he could and encouraged him to try. So many people think of a disability as just that. I always looked at it as something to dispel and prove that there’s a lot more than what others expect. I’ve always believed in Wyatt and knew that he could accomplish great things. ~ Amy Madison Speck
